Hi everyone,
Something a little different today.
I am launching a second newsletter, called The Third Shoebox, which will focus on how to thrive during the younger stages of mid-life, especially if, like me, pretty much every area of your life - relationships, health, finances, career - needs work.
Fear not, there will be a few chuckles along the way, as well as a sardonic quip or two, as I set out on this personal reinvention of sorts.
But I’ll be honest, right now, I’m in a pickle.
I’ve lived five and a half decades and I still feel like I’m staring at a blank canvas. How is that even possible?
I know from conversations with others I’m not the only one who feels this way. Many people of a similar age or stage in life, are still searching, or looking to reinvent and pivot. Especially in a world that seems to have turned on its head in recent years.
The Third Shoebox is my attempt to answer the question, where is the youngest version of the older me heading?
How do I let got of past traumas, missteps and disappointments and ensure life becomes everything I know in my heart I deserve and more? Because I can tell you, at this age nothing is as easy in that regard.
My inaugural post looks at why, as a first step, I’m gifting myself the month of August.
The name of the newsletter will become clear when you read it, which you can do here, or by clicking below.
Down the line, I hope to launch a podcast to accompany the newsletter because there’s a huge discussion to be held around all of this.
I hope that piques your interest!
Thank you for reading and also for continuing to support my writing. If the idea behind this new publication resonates, please subscribe and let me know your thoughts.
In the meantime, I’ll be back with The TEN’s regular Monday Mote tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. The sun is shining and so in keeping with The Third Shoebox philosophy, I’m off to do something I enjoy, which is swimming in the sea.
It’s high tide at 1pm, so my snacks are packed, my hair is in a bun and I’m ready to go!
