Happy Vals, everyone.
I was having a conversation with a friend the other day about the loves of our respective lives.
After weighing up the pros and cons of previous relationships, she said: “Do you know what I really love?”
“No, do tell.”
“My air fryer. It’s just so useful.”
I couldn’t argue with that.
She then went on to tell me about the many delicious dinners she’s discovered and how it’s rejuvenated her meal times.
Like a true nerd, she’s even collated a folder of recipes. Some, she told me with exceptional glee, have sub-dividers and coloured tabs.
I think I could feel her heart beating faster as she said it. There was certainly a first flush of young love to her delivery as she extolled the virtue of air fried chicken parm.
And you know what, I’m here for that kind of passion.
A great love is such a magnificent incentive. It gets shit done.
So my motivation to you if you’re dithering is simply to write what you love.
Have a fabulously productive week. Write like no-one is watching (they’re almost certainly not so that should be easy). And remember, in the words of Miley Cyrus, you can buy your own flowers. 😉
