Life, an unexpected story arc

I saw this meme and it made me laugh because it’s so true.

If you ever get to a point in life where you think you’ve got it all sorted, something ugly, weird and unexpected will come along and show you otherwise.

That’s life. And what a joker it can be.

The last few days have been so challenging (I’ll spare you the details) but this weekend I intend to carry on with my plans to write my novel. A novel, I fully realise, that may never see the light of day.

But I don’t care.

I’m doing it anyway because I want to give it a go and also, whilst I can’t control 99% of what’s going on around me, I can control my commitment to this book.

Writing, like life, is full of ups and downs and unusual story arcs. The trick is to keep going. Better still, take that unexpected story arc and turn it into words of gold!
