Very much warmed to Rivals after the first couple of episodes. Especially Danny Dyer and Katherine Parkinson! And you're right, they did get '80s clothes right, though I felt like they weren't quite as accurate with the hair.

Thanks for the lively/useful round-up, Lisa.

Thanks Wendy! Authentic 80s hair seems to elude most productions. Look at any small or big screen Princess Diana. They never get it right. One of my theories is that hair products are just too good now. Early-80s, I had a friend who would style her hair with bars of hand soap before clubbing and it always looked incredible!

Rivals may be the only thing that gets me through this week alive. Adore all of it and thank you for the good news about S2!

Well done for not perving over Aiden Turner in Rivals (what!). And thank you for the mention, which reminds me of one of my favourite headlines (that I came up with), for a piece about scarf designer Jane Carr: the neck’s best thing. (What!) I was also impressed the headline (by me) for a piece on a topiary expert: better your hedges!

Hahaha! I actually saw an interview with Aiden who basically said that he wasn't the eye candy in this show, although I must beg to differ. I think he was hoping that Alex Hassell would do most of the heavy-lifting (so to speak).

That is a great headline for a scarf feature! Also very impressed with 'better your hedges!'. One of my first ever pun headlines for the local paper was 'We are not A-moo-sed', about the Essex County Fair, with a photo of a cow, that I was trying (out of shot) to get to moo on cue. Fun times!
