Yes. Although, Lisa, I can't help thinking that an article about your day at the Essex Writers, dedicated to that little girl's memory, might be a nice thing to do. I can't think how though at the moment. I hope you will write about it one day anyway thgough, because I think it would be interesting.
I've given this idea some thought - thank you for the suggestion. I'm not sure I could do it justice and yes, at some point I might revisit the original blog but for now, I think I just need to leave it where it is.
I understand. For what it's worth, and i know this not the same, but a month or so ago I had a crisis of sorts about my substack. There are so many terrible things going on in the world that it seemed wrong to write lighthearted humour and tales of my saxophone learning journey. But then I thought if my stuff raises a smile or people find it a decent diversion then it has a value and I should continue with it.
Yes, you're right and because of that today's mote is a lot jauntier. I think in the moment, last week, it was hard because it was so close to home, and a proper local tragedy, which affected many of us. But you need to keep writing your lighthearted tales too! We need the brevity more than ever today.
Lovely gesture Lisa. So sad.
Just devastating.
Oh, I heard about it on the news, Lisa. How tragic.
Absolutely horrific. Yes, I noticed that it made the national news.
That's very sad.
Just awful in every way. x

Good. I shall check it out. And thanks for your words of encouragement.
So sorry to hear about the tree branch, Lisa, and the death of the little girl. Very sad.
It really is. x
